Very clean and fresh interior. Good menu of typical pub grub with a few splashes of individuality to break up the usual monotony. Attentive staff. The food quality was above average, everything was cooked just right. Reasonable value.

There are some positives:. Extensive menu, good prices, nice atmosphere and good service. However, food was awful. I had the 10oz gammon, which looked lovely but was tough to eat. Main complaint was the peas! Absolutely rock hard! Initial reaction was that they hadn't been cooked for long enough. I politely explained to the server that I couldn't eat them like that. She apologized and took my plate back to the kitchen. She brought it back a few minutes later. Peas were no better. I came to the conclusion that the peas were actually overcooked. I suspect that they must have a huge pan simmering away all day! No excuses not to cook peas fresh to order. How long do they take : 2-4 minutes? No big deal you might think. But to top it off we had to ask for a printout of the bill (just told how much to pay initially) and when we got home and checked it they had charged us 3.75 for a pudding which should have been free (special deal on a Tuesday). Got to make a return trip to get a refund! How often might this happen???? Definitely won't be eating there again.....

Great food at a good price. Staff were friendly and there was a nice atmosphere, a good place for families and kids as well. A very large variety of food served with multiple menus available and different deals each day. Also have a good vegan/vegetarian menu so can cater to all.

A warm welcome and a homely feel. We had a main meal as we didn't feel overly hungry. The meals arrived quickly even though there was plenty tables already seated. The quality was excellent with plenty on the plates (I don't make this comment frequently about Marstons pubs due to our local being outrageously bad) with the staff being very polite and helpful. After finishing our meals, the table was cleared allowing us to finish our drinks. Message to Marstons... this was one of the best pubs of your chain I have experienced...if only all the pubs were as well managed as this one...well done to the staff here

Food was fantastic, service was great all staff polite and very fast getting it to the table. Portions were ridiculously big, look at the state of that portion of halloumi fries. Absolute unit
